Thanks for this video. Do you know how to use sliders to play through an animation? I would like to connect a slider to my animation and when I drag the slider it runs through the animation. Let's say you import an simple cube animation with translate and rotation from Maya that you have done. Then you connect the animation to the slider in Unreal. How do you do that, can't find any info about Driven, or Run or Play your animation with a UI slider for Unreal anywhere? Can look into this? Thanks in advance. Hope for a reply.

I think the texture graph is a huge step forward for unreal engine. It's lacking a lot of features that adobe substance designer has, but it has a lot of potential. Being able to make your own textures inside the engine would make work flow a lot faster in my opinion. Also, not having to pay for adobe's ridiculous subscription prices for their software will always be good.

Is the character able to move or not when aiming? I wasn’t sure watching it, but I'm looking for a classic RE4 combat system, so I'd like to make the character not able to move in aim mode

Omg... I might upgrade just for the seamless retarget...

My top 4 features are the editor freezing every 2 seconds, the default lighting looking really weird, the constant crashes and when enabling root motion on an animation it won't lock the character in place anymore.

This was a great video for me until about 20 minutes in. Where am I downloading the assets from and why do 2 links lead to your own content, and the third to a 404 error? I am an aspiring game developer, and this is honestly quite frustrating for me. I spent far too long trying to access content from your websites, as I assume you expect to make money? When a video says there is a link to assets in the description I expect that to be true. If this is remedied I will 100% rescind this comment, but right now I am quite annoyed after spending over an hour thinking this was an error on my own end. Any solution to accessing the assets to complete this project?

Hi. I followed your video to make this game in Unreal Engine 5.4.1. Everything is fine except detaching camera when player died. When i use perspective mode with camera, it's just work fine. But when switch to orthographic mode, after detaching the camera still keep following player. Why is this? I can not find a solution for this.

Awesome tutorial, Menu systems usually get forgotten and glad i found this one. Something i did find for the resolution is you could convert int point x to string and put that through a "Switch on String", just so you don't have cascading branches. Also means you can have a default as a failsafe.

i tried it! it is really cool but if you dont have any experience in animation like me it is only good for really simple animations like what he did. if your trying to make fighting and running animations i found it really it hard.

finally, a unreal 5 tutorial that is not 1 hour long and filled with so many shortkeys that takes another video to explain the last video. You have earned a sub from me

Great job, I finished the Godot one....I noticed you forgot to move your player in Front of the platforms...as it stands now you are jumping behind them....

so we have the same result using 3 different engines. i think that godot is friendlier IF you know how to code. UE seems more complicated.. you try to code the game with blueprints the "no code" way to make things happen but the same time gdevelop engine as a "true no code" engine make things so easy even for someone who never code before..i choose gdevelop then godot.
